Is the WhatsApp Business API free?

Partly, and it is worth being clear about which part. There are two separate costs on the WhatsApp Business API: the platform you use to run it, and the per-message charges Meta makes for template messages. Converzo's Free plan removes the first one. The second is Meta's, it is the same on every platform, and it goes to Meta, not to Converzo.

Converzo adds no markup to Meta's rates. Sending to India, Meta charges ₹0.8631 per marketing message and ₹0.1150 per utility message. When you reach a limit, nothing is deleted. Converzo asks you to upgrade before you add more of that item, and everything you have already set up stays as it is. Paid plans start at ₹499/month and are on the pricing page.

Free app or free API plan?

The free WhatsApp Business app runs on one phone for one person. A free plan on the API gives a team a shared inbox, templates, broadcasts and automation on a number that is not tied to a single handset. Is the WhatsApp Business API free?

The WhatsApp Business API itself is not free: Meta charges per delivered template message, at the rate for your recipient's country, and bills it directly to your own WhatsApp Business Account. Converzo adds nothing to Meta's rates. Messages that customers send to you are not charged.

Do I need a credit card for the Free plan?

Not for Converzo. You will need a payment method on your WhatsApp Business Account in Meta Business Manager before you can send messages, because Meta bills its per-message charges to it. Without one, Meta can block sending.

How much does Meta charge on the Free plan?

The same as on any plan. Sending to India, Meta charges ₹0.8631 per marketing template message and ₹0.1150 per utility template message, and authentication from ₹0.1150. Rates differ by country; the full table is at getconverzo.in/whatsapp-pricing.

What happens when I reach the Free plan limits?

Nothing is deleted. Once you hit a limit, such as 10 campaigns in a month or 1,000 contacts imported, Converzo asks you to upgrade before you can add more of that item. Your existing contacts, conversations and templates stay as they are.

Is there a free trial of the paid plans?

Yes. Growth and Enterprise plans include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. If a trial ends without a paid plan, your workspace moves to the Free plan instead of being switched off.

Can I use my existing WhatsApp Business app number?

Yes. With Mobile App Coexistence you can connect the number already on your WhatsApp Business app and keep using the phone app alongside Converzo. You can also use a new number.
