Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how WCB Network Private Limited ("Converzo", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information in connection with the Converzo platform and related websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"), available at getconverzo.in and app.getconverzo.in.

Converzo is a business-to-business (B2B) software platform that lets businesses connect their own WhatsApp Business Account to send, receive, and automate customer messaging (including chatbots, broadcasts, and live chat). Converzo is an independent service and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. or WhatsApp LLC.

If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy covers two groups of people:

  • Customers (our users): businesses and their authorized team members who create a Converzo account and use the Service.
  • End users (message recipients): the individuals our Customers communicate with through their own WhatsApp Business Account using Converzo.

For data belonging to end users, our Customer is the data controller and Converzo acts as a data processor — we process that data only to provide the Service to the Customer and under the Customer's instructions. End users with questions about their data should contact the business they messaged.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account and sign-in information

When a Customer signs up, we collect information needed to create and secure the account, including name, email address, and profile information. Where sign-in is provided through a third-party identity provider (such as Google Sign-In), we do not receive or store your password for that provider.

2.2 WhatsApp Business connection data

When a Customer connects their WhatsApp Business Account through Meta's Embedded Signup (or by entering credentials manually), we collect and store:

  • WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) identifiers and business portfolio identifiers
  • Phone number identifiers and display phone numbers
  • Access tokens issued by Meta that authorize Converzo to send and receive messages on the Customer's behalf

Access tokens are encrypted at rest and are used solely to operate the Customer's own messaging.

2.3 Messaging and contact data

To provide the Service, we process:

  • The content of messages sent and received through the Customer's connected WhatsApp number (text, media, templates, and message metadata such as timestamps and delivery/read status)
  • Contact lists, phone numbers, names, and labels that the Customer uploads or that are generated through conversations
  • Chatbot/automation configurations, broadcast campaigns, and message queues created by the Customer

2.4 Payment information

For paid subscriptions, payments are processed by our payment provider, Razorpay. We receive limited billing and transaction details (such as plan, status, and payment references). We do not store full card numbers or banking credentials — these are handled directly by Razorpay.

2.5 Technical and usage data

We automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser/device type, log data, and usage events, in order to operate, secure, and improve the Service. Our websites use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Authenticate users and secure accounts
  • Send and receive messages through the Customer's connected WhatsApp number
  • Process subscriptions, billing, and payments
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and improve reliability and security
  • Comply with legal obligations and the Meta Platform Terms and WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use the content of Customers' messages or contacts for advertising.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law (such as the GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act) requires it, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), consent (where required), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We share information only as described below:

  • Meta Platforms / WhatsApp: to deliver and receive messages and to operate the WhatsApp Business Platform integration. Our use of data obtained through Meta APIs complies with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
  • Service providers: infrastructure, hosting, database, and security providers that process data on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • Payment provider (Razorpay): to process subscription payments.
  • Authentication providers: to enable third-party sign-in where offered.
  • Legal and safety: where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Converzo, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

6. Data obtained through Meta / WhatsApp

Data we receive through Meta APIs (including WhatsApp Business Account details, phone number identifiers, access tokens, and message data) is used only to provide the Service to the Customer who authorized the connection. We do not transfer such data except as needed to operate the Service or as required by law, and we handle it in accordance with Meta's Platform Terms, Developer Policies, and applicable data-protection requirements.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as a Customer's account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information for longer where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Disconnecting a WhatsApp Business Account or deleting an account triggers removal of the associated access tokens and connection data.

8. Data security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption of access tokens and sensitive credentials at rest, encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and signature verification on incoming webhooks. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect information using industry-standard safeguards.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent.

  • Customers can manage much of their data within the Service or by contacting us.
  • End users should contact the business they communicated with, as that business controls the data.

To exercise your rights, or to request deletion of your data, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10. Data deletion requests

Full step-by-step deletion instructions are on our Data Deletion page. In short: email [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and the relevant account or phone number identifier. Upon verification, we will delete the associated personal data, except where retention is required by law.

11. International data transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure it is protected in accordance with applicable law.

12. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
